Advocating access to federal lands for responsible, environmentally sound oil and gas exploration and development.

Welcome to Public Lands Advocacy (PLA). PLA, the successor organization to the Rocky Mountain Oil and Gas Association's (RMOGA) Lands/Exploration & Production Committee, is a non-profit, voluntary organization whose purpose is to:

  • Promote the discovery, development, and production of oil and gas resources on Public Lands throughout the western United States
  • Furnish opportunities for open discussion and lawful interchange of information between land management agencies and the petroleum industry
  • Accumulate and disseminate information concerning the petroleum industry in order to foster the best interests of the public and industry.
Benefits of PLA Membership

Companies and associations are encouraged to join as members of PLA in order to continue the advocacy of petroleum industry on public lands.
